Being both an Honor Harrington and fantasy fan, this book sounds very interesting.

Really sharp observation about how the romance stays organic instead of force-feeding readers the typical enemies-to-lovers playbook. When I've read naval fantasy blends, they usally get bogged down by either overemphasizing the romance or makng the magical system feel tacked on. The fact that Dickson nails both the Honor Harrington-style progression and the fantasy worldbuilding without leaning too hard on allegory sounds like a rare balance.
