Crucifixion Press Reloads for Shoot the Devil 2
Several superversive alumni return along with Upstream regulars Finn, Gallagher and Denning for a demon-destroying sequel anthology.
Last year, an anthology was born, as all great anthologies are, out of idle speculation among friends, never meant to be taken too seriously. Thankfully, Eric Postma at Crucifixion Press did take it seriously, because what eventually came out of “Declan Finn is your go-to guy for stories about demons getting punched in the face—hey that would actually make a great anthology,” was the surprise hit Shoot the Devil (available here for as little as .99, just in time for Halloween).
The anthology proved successful enough that a new crop of fresh recruits along with a few grizzled veterans from the first have been assembled for round 2 against the forces of evil— this time in sci-fi settings. Shoot the Devil 2: Dark Matter features stories from returning contributors Declan Finn and Michael Gallagher (both names you might have seen around here) as well as James Pyles, Steven Johnson, N.R. LaPoint, and the legendary L. Jagi Lamplighter. They are joined by first-timers to the series Alan Van Treeck, Frank Luke, fellow Upstream contributor Trevor Denning, the proliferous and talented T.J. Marquis and charmingly notorious Richard Paolinelli.
