New Release: Shoot the Devil: Martyr's Militia
The series' third volume introduces plenty of new blood
While they missed their traditional All Saints Day release date this year, Crucifixion Press’ newest entry into their flagship anthology series, Shoot the Devil. The first edition had a ridiculously stacked roster of talent, and the second offered a fun and varied selection of sci-fi based offerings that saw Trevor Denning’s submission Daughters of Men win a Helicon Award for Best Short Story.
While those volumes’ authors were invited, this entry made an open call for submissions, with the title’s “militia” reflecting the volunteer nature of the talent pool. This means quite a few new names appearing, but editor Eric Postma made sure not to lower the bar that readers have come to expect for talent, telling me via DM “I was really impressed with the selections in this volume.”
The Kindle edition is out now and available for only .99, with the paperback expecting to be added this week. If you’re ready for another round of humans rising to defeat the machinations of malevolent forces, your wait is officially over.
Crossing my fingers, my contribution will be well received :)
