I have five audiobooks up on Audible. Not thrilled with their deal, but it has the biggest audience. When the next one comes out, I'll be taking at hard look at how Speechify compares.

This blog post states you got a great deal from Speechify. However, the contract for regular users states 'By submitting user material you hereby grant Speechify an IRREVOCABLE, PERPETUAL, non-exclusive, royalty-free worldwide license to use, telecast, perform, display, edit, distribute, and otherwise exploit the user material you post on the service'.

Was this in your contract, or are they just screwing everyone else?

I'm producing my first Audiobook now... I really want to market in an alternate market if possible, but I also know that 90% of my customers currently come from Amazon. How to bridge the gap and get the alt link to my readers will be the critical factor for properly integrating Speechify or other platforms into my current base platform.

Yeah. Sanderson said on his blog that one of his big frustrations was that EVERYONE who has audiobooks sells on Audible. This will definitely help, but Speechify will need to snag a few more big authors to help begin to sway the tide, I think.
