II voted largely along those lines. I voted for Beyond Enemies for Best Illustrative Cover, though it was a tough call between that and Yumi and the Nightmare Painter.

I also voted for Baldur's Gate 3 for Best Digital Game, as it's a fun RPG despite the woke elements.

I voted every year for the past five years or so, but I'm done with DragonCon after their removal of Ms. Cedar Sanderson under hinky circumstances. That plus some other things I've discovered about the Con has turned me off. I wish all the folks in it luck. 🍀

Gotta say stick with Dragon Con while encouraging them to fumigate the awards committee by removing whoever decided to play Little Miss Activist* with the AI-tools thingy. They selectively enforced the "no-AI" tools rule - one that had never been shared with anyone else prior to this round of awards - because Little Miss Activist is just SO special, and her cause is just SO important, it trumped basic decency and fairness.

So please vote for everything BUT the book cover, and send an email to the DCC committee chairs, asking them if they want to enjoy the irrelevancy of WorldCon or get eaten by ReedPop. Portland, Seattle, and Baltimore didn't become dysfunctional hellholes because the Little Miss Activist types expected it to - their inability to grok 2nd and 3rd order consequences was broken. DragonCon should learn from others mistakes.

And pass it on.

*Of both sexes.
