I never realized that December is such a heavy time for new releases.
The other day, we covered three new releases, with Timothy Zahn, a Fantasy School anthology, and a horror anthology for fighting demons.
Then I realize there are three more books coming out. This doesn’t even count Robert Kroese’s Kickstarter we announced earlier.
Let’s start with…
J. R. Handley Presents: Beast Hunt Volume 1
The title goes live on December 13, 2024.
BEAST HUNT invites you to step into the claws, wings, and scales of the creatures humanity has feared for centuries. From mighty dragons to forgotten forest spirits, from mechanical monstrosities to cursed beings of the deep—these are the stories of the unseen, the unheard, and the misunderstood.
When the world brands you a monster, how far will you go to prove them wrong? Or… how far will you go to prove them right?
This gripping anthology of dark fantasy and emotional depth unveils the raw struggles of beasts who feel, who rage, who love, and who fight for their place in an unforgiving world. With tales from masterful storytellers, BEAST HUNT is an epic exploration of what it means to be human… even when you’re not.
Monsters have feelings too. Rage against the machine. Embrace the misunderstood.
Will you hunt the beast, or will you stand beside it?
Yes, like with Fantastic Schools: Sports, Declan Finn is on the cover of this anthology, too. No, do not ask how this keeps happening. I don’t know either.
Honeymoon from Hell #1: The Neck Romancer
This is the sequel to the Dragon Award Nominated series Love at First Bite.
The books have been reviewed on Upstream before, by Caroline and Eric and Graham.
After “happily ever after” comes “until death do you part.”
Marco Catalano and Amanda Colt have survived vampires legions, unkillable demons, supernatural assassins and a full on army of darkness.
With their allies, they have taken down a paranormal Illuminati called simply “The Council.”
Now they have to deal with their next threat: marriage.
Can Marco and Amanda survive the preparations for their own wedding? And if they manage that, can they fight their way through their honeymoon?
But the biggest question of all: Who invited the zombies to the ceremony?
They're going to make it to the Church on time. And God help anyone who gets in their way.
Honeymoon from Hell #2: Blood Country
Come out to the coast, we’ll kill some monsters, we’ll have a few laughs.
Dragons attacked their train.
Triads with magic meat cleavers are trying to kill them.
But Marco is going to give his bride the honeymoon in wine country that she's always wanted.
Even if he has to burn down San Francisco to do it.
That’s it for right now.
But I think that’s more than enough for now.
